Joe Miskulin

This site is dedicated to the stories of my father. I have the great opportunity to be able to digitally record his stories--as told by him--and give them to the world. These stories cover 9 decades, 16 U.S. presidents, 8 Constitutional Amendments, and a World War. These stories are told by someone who was there. They aren't officially sanctioned or politically correct. They're just true.

About

This site is dedicated to my father–to his life and his stories.

My father is–and has been–the single most powerful influence in my life. His inspiration and example have set the foundation for my life. I’ve created this site as a way to share his stories and lessons with the rest of the world.

  1. Dear Joe: Miskulins are originaly from Croatia. May I ask you, do you know where from originaly came your dad. There are many Miskulins in the States and in Canada - my branch is from Lika region in Croatia.
Thank you for yr reply, best wishes and regards.

  2. Hello, Zvonimir.

I was surprised to see a comment on the site already. Joe, my father, was born here in the US in Chicago. My grandfather (Blaz) came to the US from the village of Miskulin in the Lika region of Croatia sometime between 1915 and 1920.

  3. Marti, Last night your mother told me about what you are doing. I’m so excited about it, I can hardly wait to tell Shelagh. She was wishing someone would write a book about your father. This might be even better. Keep going! We miss your father. He was a wonderful friend. The obituary you wrote was perfect. Patti
